Mid January CNNIC (the Chinese registry) held a meeting to review what happened in 2010 and to inform everyone about the upcoming changes that may occur in 2011 regarding the .cn domain.
On Wednesday 19th 2011 the 750.000th .cz domain name was registered (Czech Republic). Obviously the .cz-registry is very pleased about this milestone.
Norid (the Norwegian registry) had a head-up start this year. Yesterday the 500.000th .no domain name was registered. The domain name linge-compagniet.no was registered by the company with the same name. Of course the Norwegian registry is very pleased with this milestone.
